Carbon Footprint and Sustainability Application and Research Center

The purpose of Doğuş University Carbon Footprint and Sustainability Application and Research Center (DOUKAS); 

• To carry out studies to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs),
• To identify macro and micro scale problems that may arise in the Environmental Social and Governance (ESG) dimensions of sustainability and to develop solutions for these problems,
• supporting green transformation in the industrial sector,
• to promote sustainable production and consumption and combat climate change,
• To carry out research on green financing issues and to serve the dissemination of these products in national and international markets,
• To carry out studies on detecting, monitoring and reducing carbon footprint, to produce scientific information on sustainability issues, and to support academic studies in the field and provide training on these subjects.

DOUKAS carries out studies that will serve to meet the needs of today's generations without taking away the development opportunities of future generations and to successfully achieve sustainable development goals. In this context, DOUKAS; carries out coordinated activities with international organizations, non-governmental organizations, universities, organized industrial zones, private institutions and public institutions, carries out studies that will contribute to the green economic transformation of industrial and financial institutions to enable them to realize the green economic transformation competitively and supports activities that will contribute to the dissemination of information that will contribute to the green economic transformation and mediate the achievement of sustainable development goals both in the society and in private and public institutions with its projects.

Established with the vision of taking more sustainable green steps into the future with the cooperation of society, universities, private sector and public institutions, DOUKAS contributes to ensuring economic, social and environmental sustainability by complying with the boundaries drawn by nature with its studies and projects in this field.
